Pensions for the elderly have decreased: PFU has reduced the cost of payments
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has completed financing social payments for November 2025, allocating 68 billion hryvnias to pension payments. The fund’s press service published this information.
In particular, 9 billion hryvnias were sent through Ukrposhta, while 59 billion were sent through partner banks. For comparison, in October, 68.5 billion hryvnias were spent on pension payments; therefore, a slight decrease is observed in November.
In addition to pensions, other social payments were also financed: 2.6 billion hryvnias went to housing subsidies and benefits, and another 3 billion to insurance payments, of which 1.8 billion went to hospital stays. An additional 8.6 billion hryvnias were allocated for state benefits and other social costs.
According to the Pension Fund, in November it provided 1.423 million services to Ukrainians who applied for social support. Funding in December will begin on the 1st so that pensioners will receive their payments according to the new schedule.
We remind you that from January 1, 2026, the minimum pension in Ukraine will increase from 2,361 to 2,595 hryvnias. In addition, from March 1, a planned indexation will take place to modernize pension payments.
