From teen dramas to war realities: what does actress Karolina Mruga do today?
Actress Karolina Mruga shared her impressions of working on the series “Limitedly Suitable” in an interview with STB.UA. She had already collaborated with the team she knew from the film “Lessons of Tolerance”. She admitted that returning to work with Oleksandr Yarema, Olena Uzlyuk, Sasha Piskunov, and director Arkady Nepytalyuk elicited mixed feelings of joy and anxiety.
In the series, she plays a younger version of Diana – a girl who is just starting to learn about the world. Unlike her role in the film, in the series, the heroine is already faced with the realities of war, separation, and difficult choices. Karolina believes viewers will find something close to themselves in the series, which can have a therapeutic effect.
The actress speaks respectfully about Arkady Nepytalyuk, emphasizing his ability to trust actors and not be afraid of doubts in the creative process.
Karolina works at both the Franko National Theater and the Pechersk Chamber Theater. She believes that each of these theaters plays a significant role in her creative path. In 2022, she received an invitation to the play “I, War and a Plastic Grenade, which tells the story of young people trying to find their place in new conditions.
The actress noted that different theatrical spaces shape her from various angles. The Franko Theater offers scale, and chamber scenes offer sincerity and intimacy. She is confident that the experiences from each theater are interconnected and influence one another.
Regarding the repertoire, Karolina recommends simply visiting theaters, noting with a smile that in any performance she tries to be at her best.
In the case of an offer from Hollywood, the actress dreamily noted that she would like to play Lillard.
Commenting on bloggers’ participation in the series, she expressed irony, while wishing Justin Bieber success in his new role. Regarding her media presence, she was reserved, noting that this is not key in her career.
When choosing a role, all aspects are essential to her: the script, the team, the conditions, and the character itself.
In her free time, Carolina reads, travels, watches TikTok, and even remembers saving a bird at age 3. She likes the projects “The Bachelor” and “MasterChef”.
Additionally, Vitaliy Kozlovsky, after 18 years, returned to one of his first hits – the song “Zagaday”, presenting it in a new version. The artist decided to give the track new life on the eve of the New Year holidays, aiming to remind us of the magic of dreams, warm memories, and faith in miracles.
