Former traffic police chief leaves service with money and husband’s apartment in Kyiv

Nonna Tarasivna Bagmet, who until January 2025 held the position of deputy director of the State Tax Service department, filed a declaration immediately after her dismissal. The document indicates that she has significant cash savings and that her family owns a large amount of real estate and vehicles.

The declaration states that Bagmet has 90,700 US dollars in cash and 404 thousand hryvnias. In addition, she holds 72 thousand hryvnias in bank accounts in PrivatBank, but no information was provided about other financial assets.

Nonna Bagmet’s husband, Serhiy Bagmet, is the owner of Gurza LLC, registered in Zaporizhia. In June 2024, he purchased an apartment in Kyiv with an area of ​​​​109.2 square meters for 7 million 550 thousand hryvnias.

Although Nonna Bagmet is not the formal owner of this apartment, in the declaration, she stated that she has the right to reside in it, indicating that she actually lives there.

The Bagmet family also owns several cars. In October 2024, Serhiy Bagmet bought a 2010 Toyota RAV4 for 589 thousand hryvnias. In addition, the couple uses two 2017 Volkswagen Passat cars, which Andriy Goncharenko formally owns but, in practice, are used by the Bagmets.

This declaration raised questions in society about whether civil servants could maintain such a lifestyle on ordinary income.
