Changes in the registration of military conscripts: automation of the process for men aged 18 to 60

Ukraine has introduced new rules requiring men aged 18 to 60 to be automatically registered for military service, even if they are currently outside the country. MP Oleksandr Fedienko announced this.

The new procedure provides that registration will be carried out without a medical examination. Men who were not previously registered are entered into the register of military conscripts solely based on age. This means that a person can automatically enter the database without being physically present at the military registration and enlistment office or receiving a summons.

However, those with disabilities or serious illnesses can submit medical documents voluntarily. If a person applies with supporting documents, the military medical commission can make a decision remotely, based solely on those documents, without personal presence.

In addition, information about disabilities or medical problems will be confirmed through state registers. Documents will be automatically pulled from medical and social databases if a person submits a request. This will significantly facilitate the process for those who are unable to serve due to health conditions.

The new rules have already been put into effect and are in effect throughout Ukraine. Lawmakers emphasize that these changes aim to make the mobilization system more transparent and controllable.
