Frostbite: forecasters announced when the cold snap will begin in Ukraine
Ukraine is experiencing abnormally warm weather, influenced by global warming. In most regional centers, stable, positive temperatures persist during the day, there is no precipitation, and morning and night fogs add atmosphere. Weather forecaster Natalia Didenko confirmed this information on her social media page.
However, despite the warm days, winter will not be long in coming. Didenko noted that after holding out for several days, the warm weather will become less stable, and by the end of December, Ukraine will experience a significant cooling. According to her forecasts, the temperature in the period from December 26 may drop to negative values both during the day and at night.
The weather forecaster noted: “A cooling, with a transition to the predominance of freezing temperatures, may begin as early as December 26.” She emphasized that the exact dates and intensity of this process remain unknown.
The Ukrhydrometeorological Center also confirms the possibility of cooling. Forecaster Natalia Ptukha commented that the warm weather will last until December 21, after which temperatures will begin to drop.
Ptukha added, “After December 21, starting next week, experts expect a decrease in temperature. However, it is difficult to name the exact values at the moment, since forecasts may change depending on weather conditions.”
Today, calm weather prevails across Ukraine, with no strong atmospheric phenomena. However, meteorologists warn that changes are expected in the near future, and winter will still take its toll, bringing cold temperatures and characteristic winter precipitation.
