Young people under 25 years old may be subject to forced mobilization: who will the CCC be looking for?

In Ukraine, the mobilization age is not changing. All non-disabled men aged 25 to 60 are subject to compulsory conscription without the right to deferment.

However, there are situations in which young people aged 18 can also be conscripted. Lawyer Dmytro Solovyov reported this in his video on Facebook.

The human rights activist noted that those who have already completed military service or studied at an army department are considered conscripts regardless of age.

“If a person has completed military service, is a reserve officer, or was previously recognized as limitedly fit, then he is subject to military registration regardless of age,” he said.

Thus, if a man aged 18 to 25 has the status of a conscript, he can be mobilized on general terms. This means that such a young man can receive a summons or even be forcibly conscripted if he evades.

“In this case, a young man liable for military service may be mobilized even before reaching the age of 25,” the lawyer added.

It was previously reported that mobilization is expected to begin on January 1 and that Ukrainians will no longer be able to avoid conscription: they will receive summonses. It has also become known that Ukrainians have won court cases to cancel mobilization, and what happens with deferrals.
