Shooting during document check in Kharkiv: driver fired at military CCC
In Kharkiv, law enforcement agencies detained a man for several hours who opened fire on a representative of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support during a document check.
This incident occurred on the morning of December 31, according to the Kharkiv regional police.
The shooting took place at around 09:00 on Kharkiv Divisions Street in the Nemyshlyanskyi district. The driver of a passenger car, a 42-year-old man, suddenly opened fire on a serviceman of the TCK and SP during a routine document check.
After the incident, the detainee tried to flee the scene. As a result of the shooting, the serviceman did not receive any physical injuries – the bullet only damaged his uniform.
To quickly find the suspect, the police organized a special operation in Kharkiv. Within several hours, law enforcement officers located him and detained him.
A pre-trial investigation into the shooting has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism. According to the article, the detainee faces up to 7 years in prison.
The issue of officially declaring him a suspect is currently being resolved.
It is worth noting that $100,000 in cash was found on the head of the CCC in Transcarpathia during a search conducted as part of the pre-trial investigation. The grounds for law enforcement officers’ actions remain open at the moment, and there is no information yet about the suspicion against this person.
