A car importer in Volyn hid over UAH 25 million in income and paid UAH 4.5 million in taxes

In Volyn, a pre-trial investigation into a private enterprise that evaded paying income tax has been completed. Thanks to the efforts of law enforcement agencies, the state budget has been replenished by more than 4.5 million hryvnias.

Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine proved the guilt of the deputy director of the enterprise, responsible for financial accounting, for failing to reflect more than 25 million hryvnias of actual income in the reporting. This led to the failure to pay income tax in the specified amount.

The facts of the violation were confirmed by an analytical study conducted by BEB specialists in the Volyn region. After that, the company voluntarily reimbursed all tax liabilities, and the funds were fully credited to the state budget.

The charge was filed under Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns intentional tax evasion in significant amounts. However, since the company covered the losses, a petition was filed with the court to release the accused from criminal liability under paragraph 4 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Volyn Oblast Prosecutor’s Office is monitoring the case.
