A scandal broke out in Ukraine: a teacher regularly humiliated a student

In the lyceum of the village of Nezhuhiv, located in the Lviv region, elementary school teacher Nataliya Sulyk was reprimanded for regularly failing to fulfill her duties and violating established procedures. This was reported by the director of the institution, Anatoliy Smakal, in an interview for local mass media.

The director noted that the teacher repeatedly ignored such important aspects as conducting lessons, making unreasonable changes to the schedule, and not meeting the deadlines for field trips. In the educational institution, she also did not submit written reports about problems existing in the classroom, which is a violation of her official duties.

The incident that led to the official investigation happened when the students were supposed to go on a field trip, but it didn’t happen. A psychologist was involved to assess the situation in the classroom and the teacher’s behavior. However, later it turned out that Nataliya Sulyk illegally published a psychological report in the parents’ chat, disclosing the children’s personal data.

This case became another violation that could potentially violate the rights of students and their parents. Further investigation showed that the teacher violated the instructions and work rules, and there were signs of bullying.

“One reprimand was issued for non-fulfillment of duties, frequent changes in the schedule, and lack of lessons. The second reprimand, which is still under consideration, concerns the violation of confidentiality, as she revealed the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of the students in the parent chat, which is unacceptable. Unfortunately, she fell ill, but after leaving the sick leave from Monday, we plan to complete the processing of all documents,” Smakal emphasized.
