Другий рахунок за газ обернеться вищими витратами: яку суму доведеться сплатити

The second gas bill will result in higher costs: how much will you have to pay?

New gas delivery calculations will begin in Ukraine in January. Despite the fact that the gas tariff itself remains stable, some consumers may notice an increase in the amount of their payments.

Although the current moratorium prohibits increasing gas tariffs until the end of martial law, gas suppliers review the delivery volumes for each consumer every year. The calculation is made according to a simple formula: the volume of gas used in the previous gas season (from October 1 to September 30) is divided by 12 months and multiplied by the current tariff. That is, if a family reduces consumption, the fee will decrease, and vice versa – if consumption increases, the fee will increase.

In addition, the gas delivery tariff may vary depending on the region and a specific gas distribution company, which is why payments in different regions may differ significantly, even if the consumption volumes are the same.

More than 12.5 million Ukrainians are consumers of Naftogaz, where the gas tariff in 2026 is set at 7.96 hryvnia per cubic meter. Thus, the amount indicated in the bill will be formed taking into account the cost of gas and its delivery, so increased consumption can significantly increase the total bill.

It was previously reported that Gazmerezhi offers new ways to pay for gas distribution, and also predicts an inevitable increase in the price of electricity in the near future. Ukrainians are also reminded of financial sanctions for certain types of gas boilers.
