Attacks on Roshen warehouses recorded in Kyiv region
As a result of a nighttime drone attack in Yagotyn, in the Boryspil district, a fire broke out in the warehouses of the Roshen logistics complex. Rescue services worked to extinguish the fire throughout the night, and the damage is being assessed.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on the night of February 7, the warehouses of the specified complex caught fire as a result of a drone attack.
The fire was extinguished at night, and experts are currently assessing the damage and collecting details of the incident.
Deputies and the media confirmed that the Roshen warehouses located in Yagotyn were the victims. As of now, there is no information about the victims or the amount of material losses; official services are asking people to wait for the inventory results.
It is known that videos from the epicenter of the events have already appeared in Telegram channels. Iryna Gerashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction, expressed the view that these attacks may be related to previous strikes at the company’s enterprises. Recall that in January, a strike was held at the Roshen confectionery factory in Kyiv, as a result of which one employee died and several people were injured.
“This can hardly be considered an accident. The enemy is purposefully destroying large enterprises that have long been conscientious taxpayers,” the politician emphasized.
The destruction of a starch production plant in the Dnipropetrovsk region was also mentioned. Gerashchenko noted that the destruction of capacity leads to serious economic losses and poses a threat to jobs and defense financing.
