M1SHKA did not have time to prepare documents for participation in the 2026 Grammys

M1SHKA, a Ukrainian producer and artist who won a Grammy in 2023 for his work on Rosalía’s album “Motomami”, was again unable to attend the 2026 awards ceremony. The musician announced on his personal blog.

M1SHKA noted that this is the second time he has had to miss an important musical event. In 2023, he was honored for his work on Rosalía’s album, but due to the war in Ukraine and military service, he was unable to travel abroad.

This year, he received an invitation from the Bad Bunny team, which won the “Album of the Year” title for its work on “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”, which the Ukrainian producer joined. However, due to the limited time to prepare for the ceremony, which took place on February 1, M1SHKA was unable to complete all the necessary documents and permits for travel.

“In 2023, I stayed in Ukraine, and leaving was impossible due to circumstances. This year, the situation repeated itself: on January 16, I received an invitation from the Bad Bunny team, and the ceremony was scheduled for February 1. For the international community, this may seem “spontaneous”, but for many Ukrainians it is often incredibly difficult due to bureaucratic procedures,” the artist expressed his opinion.

M1SHKA also expressed confidence that Ukraine is increasingly asserting itself on the world music scene. Still, physical presence at events is sometimes a much more difficult task than the work itself, for which invitations are received. He expressed fears that these awards and opportunities can be used in the interests of the enemy.
