New pension registration: Ukrainians will have an easier payment process

Ukraine plans to amend pension registration procedures to simplify access to payments for those who have lost their documents due to war or other unforeseen circumstances. The Telegram channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine published this information.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy supported bill No. 13705-d, which aims to simplify the process of assigning pensions to persons who cannot confirm their work experience due to the liquidation of archives, occupation of territories, or closure of enterprises.

According to this bill, the primary source of confirming experience will be the state electronic registers. If the information is already in the system, citizens will not need to provide additional certificates. In the event of loss of a workbook, experience can be established based on other official documents, the testimony of two witnesses, or a court decision.

The bill will also oblige the Pension Fund to notify pensioners of the absence of data and assist in its restoration, rather than shifting this responsibility to the applicants themselves.

In addition, the committee proposes extending the period for physical identification of persons undergoing verification until July 1, 2026. Also, from January 1, 2026, it is planned to automatically restore pensions for citizens who have temporarily not received payments.
