Українців попередили про неминуче зростання цін на електроенергію до мінімуму 5 грн за кВт

Ukrainians warned about the inevitable increase in electricity prices to a minimum of UAH 5 per kW

From the spring of 2026, the electricity tariff for consumers in Ukraine will remain unchanged. In March and April, Ukrainians will continue to pay UAH 4.32 for each kWh, as reported by the Ministry of Economy.

Consumers who use electricity for heating will receive reduced tariffs until April 30, 2026. The following conditions apply to them:

up to and including 2,000 kWh – UAH 2.64 per kWh;

over 2,000 kWh – UAH 4.32 per kWh.
Electricity prices were approved by Government Resolution No. 632.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that tariffs will not be revised at least until the end of spring.

At the same time, energy expert Yuriy Korolchuk predicts a possible increase in tariffs this year, to UAH 5–5.5 per kWh. In his opinion, this is due to serious damage to the power system and the need to finance infrastructure restoration. In addition, the increase may be caused by the consequences of attacks on energy facilities.

The Ministry of Economy also expects a gradual increase in tariffs after the end of the war, as the PSO subsidy mechanism is expected to be abandoned over the next four years.

According to the department’s forecasts:

In 2026, the tariff may increase by 10–20% to 4.75–5.18 UAH per kWh;

in 2027 – to 5.22–6.2 UAH;

In 2028, to 5.7–7.44 UAH per kWh.

We also remind you that garbage collection tariffs will increase from March, and Ukrainians continue to overpay for housing and communal services, which leads to numerous complaints and lawsuits against utility companies.
