From June 1, Ukrainians can expect three tariff increases
Starting from June 1, Ukraine may see an increase in electricity and gas tariffs for the population.
Currently, energy agencies are completing calculations of new prices that should reflect the real costs of production and delivery of resources.
The revision of tariffs is due to the need to stabilize the operation of the energy system, which has suffered significant damage as a result of massive attacks on infrastructure. According to experts, additional financial resources are needed to maintain a stable energy supply and restore damaged facilities.
Currently, there is talk of a possible revision of the cost of electricity, gas tariffs and its distribution, but the exact figures have not yet been announced. The government emphasizes that the new tariffs must be economically justified, but at the same time affordable for consumers.
The agencies plan to make a final decision in the near future to allow citizens to prepare for possible changes in payments.
Experts believe that the tariff changes could be part of a broader reform in the energy sector, the aim of which is to ensure the stability of energy supply and attract investment to modernize and restore infrastructure.
It was previously reported that the cost of electricity will increase for some Ukrainians from May 1. It was also noted that pensioners are facing increasing financial difficulties and the energy system needs significant changes.
