It’s better not to put away warm clothes: cold weather and snow are expected in April

Spring weather is finally here in Ukraine, but a cooling is forecast for early April, which may include snow. According to weather forecasters, such changes are quite likely.

According to experts from the Meteofor website, from April 7 to 11 in Kyiv the temperature may drop to +3…+7 degrees. Rain and snow are possible during this period.

Weather forecasters from Meteo.ua confirm that the cooling will begin earlier – from April 4 to 8. It is expected that at this time the thermometers will show from 0 to +8 degrees, precipitation in the form of rain and snow is also possible.

Reasons for the abnormally warm March

Vitaly Postrygan, head of the Cherkasy Regional Hydrometeorological Center, explained that atmospheric processes in Eurasia were influenced by a powerful blocking anticyclone “KONRAD”. This atmospheric formation covered the territory from Eastern Siberia through Kazakhstan to Ukraine, creating a large field of increased pressure with a length of more than 5,000 km.

The result was the displacement of the Atlantic cyclone to the periphery, which provided stable dry weather for most of the continent.

Earlier it became known about possible forecasts for the summer of 2026, when forecasters commented on the possible abnormal heat. There was also a social scandal in which a deputy insulted seriously ill children. Ukrainians are again returning to the schedules of power outages, so they may again experience problems with electricity supply.
