Identifying the culprits in conflicts with the CCC: the military officer emphasized significant changes
It is practically impossible to recognize the truth until military justice is introduced in cases related to employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCC). Mykola Melnyk, a war veteran and expert in political issues, emphasized this during a program on the “KYIV24” channel.
He emphasized the importance of having specialized military courts and prosecutors’ offices that are able to adequately assess situations based on military realities. According to him, civilian lawyers often lack the knowledge to properly assess offenses committed during military operations. The peculiarities of army life require a deep understanding that is inaccessible to most civilian lawyers.
Melnyk believes that the creation of an effective military justice system is not only a pressing need, but also a necessity to ensure fair consideration of cases. Such a system could prevent groundless manipulations, guarantee objectivity in trials, and introduce a clear mechanism for holding violators of the law in the military sphere accountable.
“Justice should be based on the principles of military justice. No civilian judge or prosecutor is capable of fully assessing the level of violations of the law,” Mykola Melnyk concluded.
Earlier, the portal reported on the new approaches of the CCC in mobilization, as well as on changes in legislation that should give a chance to those illegally mobilized. It was also found out that mobilization measures have intensified, and the CCC is actively looking for evaders, posing as civilians.
