Mobile communication tariffs have increased significantly in Ukraine
Mobile operator lifecell announced a price increase for several tariff plans. The changes came into effect on April 2, and the cost of services increased from 75 to 110 hryvnias. This information was shared in the MZU – Mobile Communications of Ukraine community.
The price increase concerns four tariffs, and the changes occurred not only in the base price, but also in prices for subscribers with identified numbers and those who ported their numbers to lifecell.
In particular, the “Prosto Life” tariff jumped in price the most: now it costs 320 UAH for 4 weeks instead of the previous 210 UAH. For subscribers with identified numbers, the price increased to 270 UAH, and for new users – to 200 UAH.
The cost of the “Free Life” tariff increased to 500 UAH, while for some categories of users it will be 450 or 300 UAH.
The Smart Life tariff has also undergone changes: its price has risen to 400 UAH, previously it was 300 UAH. For individual subscribers, this tariff now costs 350 or 270 UAH, depending on the conditions.
In the Speka Light tariff, the changes concern only the standard price, which has increased from 195 to 275 UAH in 4 weeks.
Against the background of rising prices, experts advise paying attention to your communication habits. Telecom analyst Oleksandr Glushchenko emphasizes that many subscribers overpay not because of the high cost of tariffs, but because of an ineffective choice of services.
The expert gives an example of his own transition to a cheaper tariff for 800 UAH, without noticing the loss of convenience.
The main conclusion: to avoid overpayments, you need to clearly understand your needs – how much Internet is needed, which calls are made more often and what additional functions are needed. After that, you can choose a tariff that will correspond to real consumption.
Experts urge: paying for communication is normal, but unnecessary expenses for unnecessary services are abnormal.
Earlier, there was talk about whether Ukrainians will be able to stay connected during blackouts, as well as Kyivstar’s plans to disconnect numbers and budget tariffs from mobile operators.
