Change of train route Kyiv-Chisinau with a direct route to the plane

Ukrzaliznytsia, together with its Moldovan partners, is launching a test connection designed to bring direct access between Kyiv and Chisinau Airport closer. It is planned that train No. 351/352 Kyiv-Chisinau will continue its route to Revaca station, which is located near the international airport of the Moldovan capital.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the test is scheduled for April 13. On the specified day, the train, which usually runs to the central station of Chisinau, will continue its movement to Revaca station. For the comfort of passengers, a free shuttle will be organized to the airport terminal.

The company emphasizes that this trip is aimed at understanding the level of demand among travelers and checking the technical capabilities of extending the route. In case of a successful test, a stop near the airport may be included in the schedule of train No. 351/352 on a permanent basis.

At the moment, there is no direct regular rail connection between Kyiv and Chisinau Airport. Travelers between these capitals usually use the Kyiv–Chisinau train, which arrives at the central station of the Moldovan capital. From there, the airport can be reached by public transport or taxi.

In addition to the train service, buses also run regularly between Kyiv and Chisinau. Many flights depart directly to the airport or have a stop near the terminal, which allows you to avoid additional transfers. The average bus journey time is between 11 and 14 hours.

The Kyiv–Chisinau train, which operates international services, covers the route in approximately 18 hours and is an important transport route between Ukraine and Moldova.

If the test phase is successful, the new route to Revaka could become a convenient logistical solution for passengers planning to travel by air via Chisinau.

In addition, negotiations are ongoing between Ukraine and Bulgaria on the launch of a new international railway route to Varna.
