A fire broke out at an oil depot in Krymsk after a drone attack – all the details
On the night of April 11, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the city of Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, due to the fall of drone debris.
The incident was reported by the regional operational headquarters, as well as the Russian Ministry of Defense and local sources. According to them, the fire occurred after the alleged shooting down of Ukrainian drones. The fire was localized and extinguished by morning thanks to the efforts of 29 units of equipment. At the same time, the extent of the damage is still being clarified.
It is also noted that the debris of the drones could have caused damage to several apartment buildings in Krymsk, and parts of the drones fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise, which led to a fire.
According to information from Ukrainian telegram channels, this area could be related to the linear production and dispatching station “Krymskaya”, which is part of the Russian oil pipeline system and belongs to the company “Transneft”. There has been no official confirmation of this data yet.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that 99 Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted and destroyed overnight. The Russian side claims that the drones were shot down over the territories of Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga and Kursk regions, as well as over temporarily occupied Crimea and in the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
Russia’s regional emergency response services usually do not report details of damage to infrastructure and the consequences for the energy sector.
Additionally, the Ukrainian military reported the destruction of military facilities in Novorossiysk.
