NAZK should find out where People’s Deputy Zheleznyak got UAH 3.6 million to buy bonds, – mass media

In a journalistic investigation, it became known that the difference between Yaroslav Zheleznyak’s income and his expenses for the purchase of bonds of the Ministry of Finance for 3.6 million hryvnias is a considerable amount according to his declaration for 2025. This information was published by the “Informator” publication, which sent a request to the NAKC.

According to the journalists’ calculations, in 2025 the people’s deputy earned a little more than 2 million hryvnias, and his expenses from savings amounted to 286 thousand hryvnias. As a result, he had approximately 2.3 million hryvnias, and about 1.3 million hryvnias was not enough to buy securities.

“In 2025, the face of the “Voice” party, MP Zheleznyak, purchased securities worth 3.6 million hryvnias. In his declaration, it is not clear where these funds came from. If he didn’t even spend anything for a whole year, he still lacked more than a million,” the message emphasizes.

The authors of the investigation also noted that Zheleznyak improved his financial situation during his time as a deputy. For example, if he entered the parliament in an old Audi A4, he now owns a premium car and lives in an elite building in Pechersk with underground parking, where the apartment is valued at approximately 12 million hryvnias.

Journalists also recalled other scandals related to the deputy. “His past raises certain doubts, in particular, his connections with the so-called “Russian peace”. The mother probably lives in Moscow, and previously had a business in Donetsk. The wife’s father was in charge of the Kyiv region during Yanukovych’s time, and his business is associated with a Russian oligarch,” they said.

In addition, earlier it became known about the opening of criminal proceedings against Yaroslav Zheleznyak for embezzlement of state funds that were allocated to the “Golos” party. The next step will be the announcement of suspicion to the deputy, the determination of a preventive measure and a court hearing. NAZK reported that in 2020, the party headed by Zheleznyak at the time paid huge sums to fictitious firms for non-transparent services, and also distributed budget funds among known deputies for fake consultations.
