Up to 1,000 UAH per month: 2 million Ukrainians have already received cashback on fuel

Since March 20, cashback on fuel has become available to 2 million Ukrainian motorists. The program is rapidly gaining popularity, allowing drivers to partially compensate for fuel costs.

The majority of participants are owners of mass-segment cars – over 91%. The most common models are Volkswagen Passat and Golf, as well as Renault Megane.

Skoda Octavia and Fabia, Ford Focus cars are also often chosen, and Daewoo Lanos and VAZ cars are popular among older cars. Most participants own cars aged 10 to 20 years.

More than 80% of cars have engines up to 2.5 liters, which indicates the preference for affordable transport among program participants. These models are used the most in everyday life.

The state compensates part of the costs each month, the maximum amount is up to UAH 1,000. The amount of cashback varies depending on the type of fuel: 15% is returned for diesel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for gas. This allows you to reduce daily travel costs, which is especially important for those who regularly use a car.

The funds received have a specific purpose. They can be used to pay for utilities and postal services, as well as to purchase medicines, books or goods of Ukrainian manufacturers.

On average, 70% of the cashback received by Ukrainians is spent on utilities, which helps reduce the financial burden on families. The program is additional support for the population.

In total, more than 4.5 million Ukrainians use the National Cashback program, and the number of participants is constantly growing. The state plans to continue implementing such initiatives.

Details: Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev announced the government’s plans to change the terms of the National Cashback program. The main goal is to increase support for Ukrainian goods in sectors where imports are the most competitive. At the same time, cashback for goods that do not require support may be reduced or canceled.
