Mick Jagger’s penthouse in London is up for sale for 5.5 million pounds
An apartment where the famous Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger lived in the 60s has been put on the market in the capital of Great Britain. The Prime and Beauchamp agencies estimate this penthouse at 5.5 million pounds (approximately $7 million), as reported by the Independent.
Between 1966 and 1968, Jagger rented this apartment in Marylebone with his then-partner, singer Marianne Faithfull. During those years, the band’s popularity grew rapidly thanks to hits such as “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Get Off of My Cloud”.”
One reason for choosing this home was its proximity to private medical facilities, where, according to some reports, Jagger often received treatment after parties.
This mansion, built in 1903, has an area of more than 230 square meters and consists of four bedrooms with high ceilings that reach 3.12 meters.
The Rolling Stones’ menu of music was expanded by the albums “Paint it Black” and “Aftermath,” which were released here in 1966, as well as the singles “Ruby Tuesday” and “Let’s Spend the Night Together” in 1967. Among the frequent guests of the apartment were the band’s guitarist, Keith Richards, and even Princess Margaret.
Jagger left the apartment in January 1968 when he moved to a new apartment in Chester Square in the Belgravia neighborhood. In 1970, he had to end his relationship with Faithfull.
By the way, Elvis Presley’s house in Los Angeles is also currently up for sale for $24.5 million.
