Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Coleman Domingo, and Lewis Hamilton became the heroes of VOGUE covers
The upcoming May 2025 issue of VOGUE will be dedicated to the Met Gala and several celebrities, including Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Coleman Domingo, and Lewis Hamilton. Each will be featured on a different cover, focusing on their personality and contribution to the world of fashion, culture, and contemporary art.
The issue is being launched on the eve of the annual Met Gala, scheduled for May 5. The theme of this year’s event will be “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which focuses on the influence of black men’s fashion in different historical eras. As part of this theme, the Costume Institute will open an exhibition until October 26. Visitors will get acquainted with outfits, paintings, and photographs demonstrating black men’s style development from the 18th century to the present. The exhibition is based on the works of Monica L. Miller, in particular her book Slaves to Fashion.
In the new issue of VOGUE, all the featured heroes shared their thoughts on style and participation in the Met Gala. A$AP Rocky talks about his new music, family, and pride in his culture.
Colman Domingo talked about elegance, individuality, and his way to the top of Hollywood.
Lewis Hamilton emphasized that clothes express personality: “You should always be confident in your style and not apologize for it.”
Pharrell Williams, in turn, discussed the strength and ability of black people to cope with the challenges of the modern world.
Thus, the May issue of VOGUE demonstrates visual aesthetics and raises important social issues – heritage, pride, and rethinking the role of black men in the fashion world.
