Payments will increase by a third: which services will significantly affect your wallet

An increase in tariffs for the removal of household waste is planned for residents of the city of Kolomyia. The decision on the new tariffs was published on the city council’s official website.

Thanks to the existing moratorium, Ukrainians are protected from a rapid increase in tariffs, but its effect is limited and does not cover all municipal services. Therefore, it is possible that new price “surprises” will appear. For example, the law allows setting economically justified prices for garbage removal.

The Kolomyia City Council’s Executive Committee approved changes in tariffs for collecting, transporting, and burial of household waste.

Changes in tariffs will affect several companies:

  • For the KP “Polygon Ekologiya,” the cost of garbage collection and transportation will increase by 31.5% to 260.22 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • LLC “AVE Ivano-Frankivsk” will increase the tariff by 32.5% to 261.89 hryvnias per cubic meter;
  • Private entrepreneur Pasyaka will also increase the tariff by 19% to 227.29 hryvnias per cubic meter.

Such adjustments in the cost are due to a general increase in prices for components that affect the calculation of the cost of providing services.

It was previously reported that utility payments could increase significantly, which would be a record for one of the tariffs. Innovations in calculating payments were also considered, which could lead to additional costs. Ukrainians may face debts for utility services that other persons have accumulated.
