Brothers killed a friend after an argument over a Russian song
Two brothers, aged 21 and 22, in Kyiv, were suspected of the premeditated murder of a 29-year-old acquaintance. According to the investigation, the conflict arose during a banquet in one of the apartments in the Svyatoshynskyi district when an argument broke out over the Russian music played by the suspects.
The elder of the brothers asked to turn off the music, which became the reason for a serious conflict. One of the brothers stabbed the victim several times with a knife. When the victim fell, the other brother continued the attack, hitting him on the head with a saucepan.
As a result of the injuries received, the man died on the spot. The brothers were detained by Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the prosecutor’s office filed a petition with the court to keep them in custody.
The actions of the suspects are qualified under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder committed by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy). They face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
The Svyatoshyn Police Department is conducting the investigation.
