Пасха в період сонячної активності: коли очікувати погіршення самопочуття

Easter during the period of solar activity: when to expect a deterioration in well-being

Over the weekend, you may feel unwell due to increased geomagnetic activity.

Geomagnetic activity forecast

According to NOAA SWPC, the magnetic situation on the days before and after Easter will be as follows:

April 19 (Saturday): The Kp index will fluctuate between 3 and 4. This is an active but not stormy situation. Sensitive people may experience headaches, fatigue, and irritability. Today, you should avoid unnecessary worries and stress while preparing for the holiday.
April 20 (Sunday, Easter): The Kp index will decrease to 2-3. The geomagnetic situation will be calm, which makes this day suitable for traveling, relaxing with your family, or walking in the fresh air.
April 21 (Monday): The Kp index will increase to 5, and geomagnetic activity will increase. In the afternoon, headaches or general deterioration of the condition are possible.
April 22 (Tuesday): The index will remain at level 5. The initial phase of the G1 magnetic storm will begin, and its impact will be felt worldwide.
What does the Kp index mean

The Kp index is a scale from 0 to 9, showing the level of geomagnetic disturbances:

0-3 – a calm situation;

4 – activity without a storm;

5 and more – a magnetic storm.

Even a storm of the lowest level G1 can cause discomfort, such as headaches, sleep problems, and pressure surges.

What is a magnetic storm?

A magnetic storm occurs when powerful emissions of solar plasma interact with the Earth’s magnetic field, causing electromagnetic oscillations.

These phenomena do not always reach the planet, but 2025 coincides with the peak of solar activity, which repeats approximately once every 11 years. The most intense phase of this process is currently underway.

How storms affect people

Symptoms can vary, but the most common are:

headache, migraine;
blood pressure fluctuations;
sleep disturbances;
ringing in the ears or dizziness;
anxiety, irritability;
exacerbation of chronic diseases;
heart problems.
Particular attention to health should be paid to older people with heart, vascular, or nervous diseases.

How to ease the conditions during a storm

Avoid physical and emotional overstrain.
Drink more water – this will help maintain blood pressure and blood circulation.
Avoid alcohol and energy drinks. It is better to choose tea with mint, ginger, or chamomile.
Minimize the use of gadgets before bedtime – this will reduce the load on the nervous system.
Make sure you get enough sleep and spend more time outdoors.
Do not change the dose without consulting your doctor if you take heart medication or sedatives.
