Not just fines: what punishments will the CCC apply to those who evade summonses in May?

Martial law in Ukraine has been extended until August 6, which means that mobilization and serving summonses to citizens liable for military service will continue for several more months.

Currently, the CCC is actively implementing new mechanisms for serving summonses and explaining what punishment can be expected for those who ignore them. According to Ukrainian legislation, there are three types of summonses: for data clarification, passing a military medical commission, and combat summonses.

According to the new regulations, various sanctions may be imposed for failure to comply with the requirements specified in these documents. Citizens who receive summonses must appear at the specified addresses. Otherwise, they face administrative liability.

If a person fails to appear on the appointed date without a good reason, the fine may range from 17 to 25.5 thousand hryvnias. In a situation with a military draft, malfunctions can lead to criminal liability, including the possibility of imprisonment for up to 5 years.

In addition, it has recently been reported that courts are actively canceling fines for those who evade mobilization, canceling up to 90%. This has caused concern in society, as the number of debtors who have received penalties from military commissariats is growing, and collecting these funds from them is becoming increasingly complex.
