Тривожна помилка вплине на бюджет: важлива інформація для власників двотарифних електролічильників

An alarming error will affect the budget: important information for owners of dual-tariff electricity meters

Owners of Dual-Zone Electricity Meters Warned About Possible Billing Errors

Owners of dual-zone electricity meters can reduce their electricity bills, but failing to follow certain rules when submitting meter readings may lead to errors and additional charges. This information was published by Poltavaoblenergoon their official Facebook page.

Consumers using these meters must correctly submit readings for the two tariffs: “Day” and “Night.” It is important not to submit the total electricity consumption as a single figure. If the meter display shows values separated by a comma, consumers should only send the number before the comma, omitting any trailing zeros.

To do this correctly, users should understand which coded zones correspond to the tariffs depending on the meter model. For example, for meters produced by NIK Electronics LLC, the registers are labeled as follows:

  • 15.8.0 — total kWh consumed;
  • 15.8.1 — day tariff;
  • 15.8.2 — night tariff.

Older meter models may use these labels:

  • T0 — total kWh consumed;
  • T1 — day tariff;
  • T2 — night tariff.

For MTX-type meters from Telecommunication Technologies LLC, the registers are labeled:

  • 1.8.0 — total kWh consumed;
  • 1.8.1 — day tariff;
  • 1.8.2 — night tariff.

Earlier reports also noted that Ukrainians may end up paying for their neighbors and are advised to check their electricity meters to avoid inflated charges in their utility bills.
