Ukrainian space project with Russian leaders? What is the problem with Spacebit management?
While Pavlo Tanasyuk was creating his image as the “Ukrainian Elon Musk,” it seems that his team consists of people who have connections with Russian structures, particularly Kremlin elites and suspicious organizations. Journalists from the StopKor project investigated this topic.
Despite Pavlo Tanasyuk’s ambitions, his attitude towards his team in the Spacebit project raises some doubts. Among those close to him are participants who were educated in Russia and have a background connected with Kremlin circles and Russian show business.
It became known that among Spacebit’s key figures is Viktor Prediger—one of the company’s founders and the director of its European representative office. He studied at the Tyumen Oil and Gas University and currently lives in Germany. At the same time, there is a person with the same name in Russia who is known as a performer of prison songs. According to information from the Internet, the real name of this artist is also Prediger, and he moved to Germany in 2002.
Was it a coincidence that these individuals with such a past ended up in the management of the Ukrainian space project?
Pavel Pagodin: from Moscow University to space projects through Kremlin connections
Another key manager of Spacebit is Pavel Pagodin. According to his LinkedIn profile, he graduated from Moscow State University, but this is not the only thing that raises questions.
Pagodin is a co-founder of the American Business Association of Russian-Speaking Professionals, which actively cooperates with representatives of Kremlin structures. On social networks, you can find photos of Pagodin at events with such individuals as former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
This raises the question: Why would a manager with such contacts work for a company that promotes the Ukrainian space project? It remains unclear what his role was—investor, connection with the Kremlin elite, or simply a manager. However, his experience contradicts Spacebit’s public image as an innovative Ukrainian project.
Oleksandr Pan: MMM’s footprint in the space business
Tanasyuk’s team also included Oleksandr Pan, who is known as a figurehead of several financial pyramids, in particular the Ukrainian franchise of the famous MMM, which defrauded many investors.
How Pan ended up among the partners in the space project, which positions itself as a breakthrough in the private aerospace industry, raises questions about the project’s transparency and the true intentions of its management.
