Great air battle between Pakistan and India
About 125 military aircraft took part in the air battle between India and Pakistan, which, according to Pakistani officials, became one of the largest and longest air conflicts of modern times. As a result of this incident, Pakistan claimed to have shot down five Indian fighter jets. The clash, which lasted more than an hour, did not change the border of the two countries.
CNN reports on the details, citing a source in the Pakistani security services. According to the interlocutor, the missiles were launched at long distances, sometimes more than 160 kilometers. Both sides deliberately avoided turning the conflict into an offensive, given the previous incident in 2019, when an Indian pilot was shot down over Pakistani territory, and he was captured and shown on television.
This time, neither side sought to repeat a similar situation.
