Bills will increase again: who will feel the increase in the cost of utilities
New tariffs for garbage collection are being introduced in Ukraine, and some citizens will receive higher bills. These services are not subject to the moratorium, so tariff rates are being adjusted by economic realities.
In particular, the local publication “Shostka.INFO” notified residents of Shostka in the Sumy region of a planned price increase for these services.
The service provider explained that tariffs needed to be adjusted to cover the real costs of the enterprise for household waste management. The new prices will affect all consumer categories.
According to the new plans, tariffs for budget institutions will be 250.74 hryvnia per cubic meter, while for commercial facilities, the rate will be 275.50 hryvnia per cubic meter.
The cost of services for the population will also increase: payments for apartment building residents will increase to 33.38 hryvnia per person per month, and for the private sector, to 40.2 hryvnia per person per month.
Recall that Ukraine currently has a moratorium on increasing gas, heating, and hot water tariffs, but it does not apply to other utilities.
It was previously reported that payments could increase by 50%, which will significantly affect Ukrainians’ budgets. Details were also revealed as to why consumers in Kyiv suddenly received notifications about doubling their bills. Ukrainians should also expect new changes related to tariffs in the near future.
