Water supply will increase in price almost 7 times: some Ukrainians will receive “golden” bills
A significant increase in fees for centralized water supply is planned in one of the communities of the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to a complaint from residents posted on the Facebook page “Mykolaivka, Hubynikha, Maryanivka, Korolivka, Vilne, Khashchove,” the tariff will increase almost sevenfold.
It is worth noting that the new tariff for residents of the village of Vilne was introduced without warning from the local authorities or the utility company. Consumers express indignation at the unjustified price increase: the cost per cubic meter of water has increased from 12.04 to 78.76 hryvnias.
Residents of the community also expressed concern about the quality of services provided by the supplier. They complain about the water supply’s lack of repair and modernization, which causes interruptions.
In addition, residents note that the water utility does not have a website where it would be convenient to manage payment accounts, check calculations, or contact support. These are just some of the problems that cause residents to be dissatisfied.
Consumers are calling for a review of the decision to increase the tariff due to a rule violation. They are demanding a recalculation of the price, considering the quality of water and the condition of the infrastructure.
Earlier, it was reported that new price changes in utility services, which Ukrainians will experience from May, and utility services’ intentions to limit water supply were discussed.
