A car hit a pedestrian near Kyiv, killing him

In the Kyiv region, near the village of Vita Poshtova, a Skoda Oktavia car ran over a man. Unfortunately, the pedestrian died on the spot from his injuries.

The press service of the Kyiv region police reported this, noting that the details of this tragedy are still being investigated.

“The accident occurred on May 12 at 23:20. Previously, the 34-year-old driver of the Skoda Oktavia, moving along the Kyiv-Odesa road, ran over a pedestrian who was crossing the road in an unauthorized place,” the police statement said.

Unfortunately, the 33-year-old man did not survive. In connection with this incident, law enforcement officers have initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of a road accident that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In addition, a serious accident recently occurred in Kyiv, where a 22-year-old driver of a car, while under the influence of alcohol, crashed into seven parked vehicles at high speed during curfew.
