Mikhail Sheitelman about the May 9 parade in Moscow: Genghis Khan’s new army

In his blog, the expert discusses the recent May 9 parade on Red Square, where troops from China, Mongolia, Vietnam, and other countries marched. According to him, this event suggests that President Putin was attempting to demonstrate that his country is not isolated, even though the participation of these states in the parade has no direct connection to the victory over Nazism.

The expert notes that broadcasting this parade was necessary to demonstrate force and cause surprise and concern in Europe. “This parade can be perceived as a new version of the updated horde,” the expert says, referring to subtle humorous remarks that were previously made about Russia in Ukraine.

According to Sheitelman, the march of representatives from Asian states in Moscow was not accidental, as it was a show of force designed to intimidate Europe. He also stressed that the presence of Russian troops in the Kursk region, alongside North Korean forces, indicates the seriousness of the intentions of this joint army.

“This is a kind of response from Xi, what the Europeans see in them. If you are unhappy with our goods and hinder our projects, this is what our army looks like,” the expert concludes. Schneiderman claims that Xi will use the Russian military to the last, causing concern in Europe.

Thus, this parade has become part of a political strategy aimed at demonstrating Asia’s military power and intentions on the European continent.
