In which regions are heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail expected in the coming days?

Significant changes in air temperature are expected in Ukraine this week. At first, it will be hot, but soon, the temperature will drop significantly, accompanied by rains and thunderstorms.

According to weather forecasters, the beginning of the new working week will bring abnormal heat, especially in the southeast southeast of the country. However, by Wednesday, the temperature in most regions is expected to drop significantly to normal levels.

Experts note that due to the temperature change, the air will become unstable in several regions, which will cause thunderstorms, some of which may be intense. Phenomena such as hail and squalls are also expected.

On the night of Monday, June 9, short-term rains with thunderstorms may occur in the central, northern, and southwestern regions, as well as in the afternoon in the South, East, and Northeast. The wind speed will be 15-20 meters per second.

On the night of Tuesday, June 10, short-term thunderstorms are possible in the eastern and southern regions, while no significant precipitation is expected elsewhere in the territory.

On the night of Wednesday, June 11, there will be no significant precipitation across Ukraine. However, moderate rains are likely in the West during the day and in the evening in the central regions and the Azov Sea, with possible thunderstorms and hail.

On Thursday, June 12, rain is expected in most regions, with some cases of heavy precipitation. Hail and squalls of 15–20 meters per second are possible in some areas. There will be no precipitation only in the West.

On Friday, June 13, rainfall is expected on the Left Bank, with significant precipitation in some areas, while other regions are unlikely to receive any precipitation.

On Saturday, June 14, under the influence of a young anticyclone, no precipitation is forecast across the entire territory of Ukraine. The wind is blowing from the north or northeast at a speed of 7–12 meters per second; in the Southeast and Crimea, gusts of 15–20 meters per second are possible.

Finally, on Sunday, June 15, all of Ukraine will be covered with partly cloudy skies and no precipitation.

Earlier, it was reported that high air temperatures were observed in early June, with thermometers in some regions reaching up to 34 degrees. This heat will not decrease even after the rains.
