Pensioners and displaced persons will receive free food packages

Registration is open in Ukraine for pensioners who wish to receive a new batch of humanitarian aid. Food kits will be available to people over 70 from June 6 to 13, 2025, according to the Putyvl City Council.

The aid will be distributed in the city of Putyvl, located in the Sumy region. During weekdays (except Saturdays and Sundays), people over 70 will be eligible to receive aid during the specified period.

Only persons of this age category can participate in the distribution of food kits if they have the necessary documents. To receive aid, you must have:

a passport of a citizen of Ukraine;

a document confirming the place of registration or actual residence;

for ID-card holders – an extract from the register of territorial communities;

for internally displaced persons – an IDP certificate.

The distribution of food kits will take place daily in the sports hall of Lyceum No. 2 in Putyvl from June 6 to 13, from 8:00 to 12:00. Humanitarian support is provided by the international fund Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine.

In total, there are more than 4.6 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine, accounting for approximately 12% of the country’s total population. These people were forced to leave their homes due to the war but did not leave the country. The state provides them with financial assistance, and various organizations and charitable foundations provide humanitarian support.
