July 4 — Justice Day: We sincerely congratulate law enforcement officers and forensic experts

On July 4, Ukraine celebrates two significant professional holidays — National Police Day of Ukraine and Forensic Expert Day. These holidays are created to honor those who work daily to ensure justice, law, and order, as well as security, in the country.

Since its establishment in 2015, the National Police of Ukraine has become the primary law enforcement agency responsible for protecting citizens, combating crime, and investigating offenses. Police officers risk their lives to ensure order and safety on the streets.

Along with them, forensic experts work, analyzing evidence and conducting various examinations — medical, technical, psychological, and forensic. Their qualified work often becomes decisive both during investigations and in court cases. Without their efforts, it isn’t easy to establish the truth in a case.

In many cities of Ukraine, festive events are organized on this day, including awards for police officers and expert services, demonstrations of equipment, open meetings with the public, and roundtables. This is another opportunity to recognize professionals whose work is the basis of trust in the law.

🔍 Interesting to know: in complex criminal cases, police officers and experts work in tandem: police officers identify traces of a crime, and experts analyze their content. Therefore, July 4 symbolizes a team fight against lawlessness.

It is worth noting that in early July, Ukrainians also honor the work of tax officials – individuals who play a crucial role in the country’s economy. Tax Service Day is an opportunity to recognize their significant contribution to the financial stability of the state.
