From July 1, Ukrainians will receive 4,500 hryvnias: how to get financing

Several financial initiatives are being implemented in Ukraine to support citizens who have found themselves in difficult circumstances. From July 1, 2025, the Pension Fund will launch a pilot assistance program for single mothers and low-income families. This is an addition to UN payments for pensioners and social benefits for people with disabilities.

Who are the new payments intended for

According to the Pension Fund, additional material assistance will be available not only to women raising children on their own but also to those who are not.

children from large families;

Children whose parents evade paying alimony;

Children whose parents are unable to support them;

Children whose parents’ whereabouts are unknown.

How is the amount of assistance determined

The basic amount for calculating assistance is 4,500 hryvnias per person. However, the final amount of the payment will depend on the family’s income:

Pension Fund experts determine how much money a family should receive by multiplying UAH 4,500 by the number of family members.

The average monthly family income is subtracted from this amount.

The difference is the amount of state support.

Important: Assistance will be provided only to those who have a confirmed status at the time of application (e.g., single mothers and low-income families).

Payment processing procedure

An application for assistance can be submitted in two ways: online via the platform or mobile application “Diya” or in person at any Pension Fund service center, regardless of place of residence.

Please fill out the application form to receive assistance.

Wait for the data to be verified and the amount to be calculated by the fund’s specialists.

Read the results and confirm your consent, after which a representative of the Pension Fund will sign the application, and the funds will be credited.

The benefit is calculated for a whole month, even if the application was submitted in the middle or at the end of the month. The payment is assigned for six months with subsequent automatic extension while the program is in effect (planned for two years).

Additionally, as previously reported, new payments of 300,000 hryvnia for the birth of a child have been discussed, with a focus on strengthening support for families in Ukraine.
