Honorary consul of Romania with a criminal past: Mykola Udyanskyi hides ties with Russia, deceives the Armed Forces of Ukraine and engages in crypto scams

Mykola Udyansky, known for his controversial reputation, has several scandalous issues in his biography: he is linked to cryptocurrency schemes, holds Russian citizenship, and his daughter lives in Russia. In this context, it became known from the investigation published by the Black Box platform.

The Ukrainian authorities supported Udyansky’s candidacy, and on March 1, 2023, the Honorary Consulate of Romania was opened in Kharkiv. Prominent figures, including the deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the mayor of Kharkiv, and the Romanian ambassador to Ukraine, attended the ceremony. Udyansky was presented as a respected IT entrepreneur.

Despite this, “under this facade” hides a Russian citizen with dubious connections, who has a dark criminal past. The question remains: how did the Ukrainian authorities approve his candidacy?

Mykola Udyansky was born in Kharkiv and was educated at the Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University and the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. During his career, he held various positions, including as commercial director and founder of several companies, including Prof-it, which developed crypto and blockchain products. Udyansky is also known as the founder of the cryptocurrency E-Dinar Coin, which suffered significant losses.

It is worth noting that in 2024, Udyanskyi was included on the “Peacemaker” sanctions list for violating Ukrainian legislation and engaging in financial fraud. Immediately, a statement was submitted to the Security Service of Ukraine, where his Russian citizenship and alleged connections with dangerous persons appeared.

Research indicates that Udyanskyi is suspected of organizing financial pyramids and cryptocurrency scams. One such scheme was the Miya Holding project, which promised extremely high returns but actually lost investors’ money.

At the end of 2023, the company of Udyanskyi and his partner became the subject of an investigation into fraud involving 390 thousand dollars intended for the production of drones for the Ukrainian army.

Udyansky’s lifestyle clearly does not correspond to his legal earnings: his wife is an active traveler, owns numerous plots of land, and drives luxury cars. His business ventures have collapsed, and his financial capabilities raise questions about their legal origins.
