Who gets rich during war? TOP-30 Ukrainian billionaires of 2025: Akhmetov, Revolut
According to the new ranking of the richest Ukrainians for 2025, published by Insider, the total capital of the “golden thirty” increased by about $1.9 billion, marking the first growth since the war that returned the indicators to pre-war levels. This list includes Rinat Akhmetov, Ihor Kolomoiskyi, Viktor Pinchuk, and the founder of Revolut.
The rating included well-known businesspeople, including Rinat Akhmetov, Viktor Pinchuk, and Igor Kolomoisky, as well as new participants whose fortunes grew thanks to international projects and the development of digital assets, in particular, Vlad Yatsenko from Revolut.
Rinat Akhmetov and his investment company SCM remain the leader of the rating, although his fortune has decreased by 5%. Ihor Kolomoiskyi also felt a decrease; his decline was about 21%. Meanwhile, other participants show positive results, especially the owners of technology and agricultural companies, who offset losses in different directions.
Among the significant changes, a sharp increase in the incomes of some entrepreneurs in the fintech sector and exporters should be noted. For example, Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder of Revolut, and Andriy Verevsky, owner of Kernel, have shown significant growth.
Changes in the rating are also due to investments abroad, business reorganization, and new startups. It is worth noting that wealth assessment is conditional and depends on the calculation methods used, such as market capitalization, exchange rates, and the availability of information about private enterprises.
However, the general trend in 2025 shows that, despite the war, some large Ukrainian businesses see growth opportunities. For more detailed information on the rating and asset valuation methodology, it is advisable to refer to the primary source.
