Tom Cruise suddenly became a cameraman during the filming of the new ‘Star Wars’ movie

Director Sean Levy, who is working on the film “Star Wars: Starfighter”, spoke about the unexpected appearance of actor Tom Cruise during filming of a water-battle scene. It happened by chance, but the result amazed everyone.

Tom Cruise, known for his role in “Mission: Impossible”, accidentally found himself in London and visited the set. Levy jokingly suggested that he try his hand at the scene, and Cruise, taking a camera, filmed the moment of the lightsaber duel right in the water.

“Last week, Steven Spielberg was here, and now Tom Cruise is dirtying his shoes with a camera in his hands, filming the scene,” Levy recalled.

He added, “When you watch the film, know that Tom Cruise filmed some of the scenes. Isn’t that impressive?”

Fans were also surprised by the lightsaber duel, as Levy’s new project was perceived as a separate story, not directly related to the classic stories about the Jedi and Skywalkers.

“This is a separate film, not a prequel or a sequel,” the director explained. “This is a new adventure in an unknown time for us.”

Plot details remain under wraps, but it is known that the leading roles are played by Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray, who have close, possibly family ties through the character of Emmy Adams. According to sources, Gray’s character is a Force-sensitive guy, and Adams plays his mother, who is a Jedi. Gosling may be trying to help his nephew fend off his pursuers and complete the task.

In addition, the film’s antagonists will be played by Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, and Daniel Ings.

Sean Levy, known for his Deadpool and Wolverine projects, directed, and Jonathan Tropper, the author of The Adam Project, wrote the script. The premiere of Starfighter is scheduled for May 28, 2027. It will take place a year after the release of The Mandalorian and Grog.

Levy previously noted that the new Star Wars film will be similar in some ways to the TV series Stranger Things, on which he also worked as a producer and director of several episodes.
