Prices will increase: Ukrainians will need to spend more to obtain documents
From January 1, 2026, the cost of some passport documents will be revised in Ukraine due to an increase in the price of forms. This will lead to an increase in the administrative fee, as reported by the State Migration Service.
The changes will apply to the issuance of an ID card, except for its first receipt, as well as an international passport.
The cost of an ID card from January 1, 2026
The issuance of a passport for a citizen of Ukraine in the format of an ID card will cost:
618 hryvnias – for a standard production period (up to 20 working days);
988 hryvnias – for urgent processing (up to 10 working days).
The first ID card receipt remains free.
New prices for an international passport
From the beginning of 2026, the issuance of a passport for traveling abroad will cost:
1147 hryvnias – for a standard production period (20 working days);
1787 hryvnias – for urgent processing (7 business days).
Important recommendations for citizens
The increase in costs is due to higher passport form prices. The authorities recommend planning the processing or replacement of documents, especially in urgent situations or for planned trips abroad.
The new cost will take effect on the first day of 2026, so submitting documents by the end of 2025 will allow you to receive passports at the old prices.
