Seychelles instead of imprisonment: ex-official Nekrasova, suspected of embezzling humanitarian aid, talks about a luxurious vacation
Zlata Nekrasova, the former deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, became famous in 2022 due to a case of abuse of humanitarian aid. She is currently spending time in the Seychelles. She shared photos from her vacation on her Facebook page, supplementing them with tips for travelers and reflections on her dreams.
In her post, Nekrasova noted: “I want each of you to see this beauty. I will write about the prices in the Seychelles. Believe me, you will be surprised. You can relax here for €200 to €200,000 per day. Many Europeans live here for €2,000 for 14 days (including food, accommodation, and small expenses). Don’t be afraid to dream.”
According to Nekrasova, such a vacation can be affordable, but she urges Ukrainians not to be afraid to dream about such trips.
Zlata Nekrasova was previously responsible for humanitarian policy in the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration but was dismissed in May 2023. After that, she went abroad and was seen in several European countries.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau investigated the case involving Nekrasova in 2022. It concerned the possible embezzlement of humanitarian aid sent to the Zaporizhzhia region during active hostilities. At that time, searches were also conducted on other officials, including Kateryna Symonova, Viktor Shcherbyna, Anatoliy Kurtev, and Anatoliy Vasyuk.
In 2024, the NABU transferred this case to the National Police. However, no charges were brought against the participants in the case. No one was held accountable, and the investigation did not receive further development in the public sphere.
It is also known that Nekrasova tried to be reinstated in court after her dismissal, but the court did not satisfy her claim.
Now, the former official is enjoying the warmth of the Seychelles and sharing tips for a comfortable vacation in the Indian Ocean with her followers. Her posts sparked lively discussions on social networks: some users mentioned the scandalous case, and others were interested in vacation prices.
