Ukraine will provide subsidies of almost UAH 10,000: who is entitled to such financial support?

In Ukraine, some citizens can receive a housing rental subsidy of up to 10,000 hryvnia. This support program, intended for internally displaced persons (IDPs), has become a new mechanism for economic assistance. The Ministry of Social Policy published information about this on its Facebook page.

The subsidy is provided when the cost of renting housing exceeds 20% of the total family income. This allows you to reduce the financial burden on tenants significantly.

The Ministry of Social Policy presented an example of a family of four that rents a two-room apartment for 12,000 hryvnia per month. If the average monthly income of this family is 17,000 hryvnia, and only the father works and the mother is on maternity leave, the family pays more than 20% of its income for rent.

In this case, the rental subsidy for this family will be approximately 9,526 hryvnia. At the same time, the monthly mandatory rent payment will decrease to about 2,500 hryvnias, which means that the state will cover a significant part of the housing costs.

Earlier, it was also reported about the benefits of paying for utilities in 2025, which may reflect discounts of 50%, 75%, and 100%, as well as a reduction in housing compensation that Ukrainians face. In this regard, information about the need to provide certificates to the Pension Fund is essential to prevent the right to receive pensions and subsidies from being lost.
