A mistake in the photo – and no pension? What to consider when applying for a pension certificate

Important information from the Pension Fund of Ukraine is available for Ukrainians planning to retire or already receiving pension payments.

When applying for a pension, citizens are issued a document—a pensioner’s certificate—on which a photo must be pasted.

This detail often raises questions for many pensioners. Knowing the answers to these questions is important so that there is no confusion and everything is drawn up correctly the first time.

This information was published in one of the publications of the Pension Fund of Ukraine on social networks.

One Ukrainian turned to the Pension Fund specialists with the question: “What format of photo is needed for a pension certificate when applying for an old-age pension, and how many photo cards are needed?”

The Pension Fund experts’ answer was clear: one photo will be quite enough.

“According to the order on the registration, production and issuance of documents confirming the assignment of a pension to a person dated 03.11.2017 No. 26-1, the list of required documents includes a color photo measuring 35.0 x 50.0 mm. Only one photo is required,” PFU specialists noted.

It is important to consider these details before applying for a pension to avoid additional delays and misunderstandings.
