Russian Night Attack on Sumy: More than 10 explosions, the city is left without electricity and water

On Wednesday night, May 21, the amounts were again attacked by Russia. Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar reported 11 explosions that occurred when two businesses were attacking. One of them flew five drones, on the other – two.

The shelling damaged critical infrastructure objects; in the city, power supply interruptions occurred, and fires broke out. Oleg Grigorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, confirmed information about one victim.

According to the Sumy City Military Administration, the devastating consequences of not only enterprises but also other industrial facilities were touched upon. Due to the damage to the electricity, part of the city remained without power, and water supply systems were also broken. The water utility switched to emergency reservoir power, resulting in a decrease in water pressure in some areas.

Emergency services operatively operate at attack. Electricity restoration work has begun, and some critical objects have been connected to the generators.

Earlier, the Air Force reported the movement of Shahid drones in the direction of Sumy, as well as the probable strikes by corrected aviation of Russian tactical aviation.

Information on the extent of the destruction and the condition of the victims is clarified.
