An error with the ID card may lead to loss of benefits: important information
Some pension certificates may be invalid, creating problems for sure Ukrainians.
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, paper documents no longer provide guaranteed benefits. This is because holders of electronic pension certificates should use only them since the fund’s system automatically marks old paper versions as “replaced.”
If you provide an outdated certificate instead of an electronic one, you may experience difficulties accessing discounts or verifying your pension status. Therefore, it is essential to have an up-to-date document with you.
An electronic pension certificate has many advantages. It cannot be lost; it is always at hand in your smartphone and is available through the Pension Fund application in just a few clicks. To obtain an electronic certificate, you must apply on the electronic services portal, and production usually takes 3-10 days. This is especially convenient for those who cannot visit a service center in person or live outside Ukraine.
This measure is another step toward the digitalization of public services, making life more comfortable. Ukraine continues to move forward despite the challenges associated with military aggression from the Russian Federation. Since 2014, when the country was recovering from difficult times, we have been at war, which obliges us to divert resources to defense. Therefore, it is essential to support the army, assist volunteers, and believe in victory.
We remind you that pensioners are advised to replace their pension certificates as soon as possible, as delays may occur in receiving pensions.
