Waste was buried in the ground with a bulldozer near Kyiv — the police joined the investigation of the State Environmental Inspectorate
On May 23, employees of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Capital District discovered suspicious activity on Polyova Street. At coordinates 50.36922 and 31.37744, an illegal waste disposal was recorded: the garbage was buried in the ground using a bulldozer.
This is not only ethically inappropriate but also poses a threat to the environment, soil, and human health. Such actions can lead to chemical contamination of the territory and have long-term negative consequences for the ecosystem.
Law enforcement officers were called to the scene. The case was transferred to the investigation group, and a criminal complaint has already been filed. This may relate to Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for pollution or damage to land.
Who organized this uncontrolled disposal has yet to be established, but environmentalists have already warned that environmental crimes will not go unpunished.
