National Resistance Centers Will Be Led by Veterans with Combat Experience

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, announced that on June 2, a bill aimed at preparing Ukrainians for national resistance was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. The training programs will provide for both voluntary participation and the implementation of training in schools.

She reported that the goal of the bill is to provide systematic training to the population to defend the country.

The main points of the document include:

the training will cover different groups of citizens, regardless of gender;
classes will be held voluntarily, as well as within the framework of educational programs;
training centers, which will be opened across Ukraine, will provide training;
veterans with combat experience will act as instructors.
These centers will have the right to:

Use the property of state and local authorities, military units, and public organizations;
Create shooting ranges and utilize firearms in the training process.
According to Vereshchuk, the system of preparation for national resistance is not directly related to war but rather aimed at ensuring readiness to protect, assist, and defeat the enemy.

“National resistance is about peace since the strength of society supports true peace,” she emphasized.

Iryna Vereshchuk noted that funding from local budgets to support the military is decreasing;

Citizens abroad will be able to register for military service remotely without needing to visit the CCC or a medical commission.
